New pieces in the Etsy shop
Posted on | Thursday, October 15, 2009 | 3 Comments
Several fun new pieces are in the Etsy shop including a couple party hair pieces, a belt and a lovely petite set of blossoms. I think the black ones would be fantastic for a Halloween or New Year's party (early, but it's good to plan ahead!).

I just listed a lovely necklace in my Etsy shop today. Fun to wear and eye catching, this necklace will surely turn heads! The more adventurous types can also wear it as a headband/wrap. Ultra pretty... I want to go run in a meadow while wearing it!

New piece to be listed :: Getting ready for winter
Posted on | Thursday, October 9, 2008 | 2 Comments
I know fall has just begun, but I've got a winter wonderland on my mind. A girl's got to think ahead, right? All those holiday parties, winter weddings, and New Year's, what's a girl to wear... on her head?
I whipped up a totally winter fabulous and not too snow bunny headband. A little sparkle and a touch of softness, you will feel as pretty as a snowflake without feeling frosty. Time permitting, I may even list a second winter inspired piece in the twigs & honey shop. Check back later today!
Update: It's up in the shop!

I, like so many out there, am a self described pack rat. Every snippet of ribbon, length of thread, button, and broken sand dollar, I hoard because someday, I'll need it (right?). Well, as for my hair pieces, I develop these little attachments to each one and always wonder, "Did they arrive to the customer okay?" OR "I wonder what adventure it will be taken on?" Recently, I was fortunate to have a wonderfully talented photographer purchase a piece from my Etsy shop. This particular piece happened to be a personal favorite of mine and I was so tickled to see photos of its arrival to Laura Ryan Photography. Laura just so happens to be this amazing photographer (any interested brides - check her out!) and was so kind to snap a handful of photos and send them my way. I am so happy that this piece found its way into the talented hands of Laura! I know she'll take care of my hearted piece and did I mention, Laura is super sweet to boot?! Well, after seeing the twigs & honey piece so nicely cared for already, I feel the grip on my trinkets and odds and ends slightly loosening. Perhaps I shouldn't be so attached after all? I do believe that all the pieces are going to develop wonderful stories with each person who takes one home! Memories, really, to last a lifetime. Thank you Laura Ryan Photography! To all the special brides and ladies who have already or will purchase a piece, send photos when you get the chance! I'd love to see them! Thank you ahead of time.

So here it is! My first blog entry. I'll be posting in my blog, any updates such as shop updates, press updates, and general thoughts and maybe fashion ideas. I suppose the sky is the limit! I'm very excited to have started this blog in conjunction with my twigs & honey line. With my husband's loving support, the support of others in the industry, and family, I've been so lucky to have begun creating twigs & honey pieces for brides, bridesmaids, and other fashion forward or adventurous types. I hope to launch my new website soon! If you are interested in any pieces or a custom order, convo me through my Etsy shop. Photo credit: Paul Rich Studio.
