Upcoming trunk show :: The Dress Theory in Seattle, WA

Posted on | Friday, April 5, 2013 | 12 Comments

When sweet Camille, the owner of the new bridal shop, The Dress Theory in Seattle, WA, reached out this past fall, I knew it was going to be a perfect fit! They already carry some of our favorite designers (and friends!) including Elizabeth Dye, Claire Pettibone and Sarah Seven. I had the opportunity to meet with Camille and her sister in NYC for the last bridal market and was excited to have them as a new retailer. We'll be having a trunk show at their beautiful shop in Seattle from April 13-14th. Be sure to contact The Dress Theory to make an appointment! Hope to see you there! # 206-550-7948

Pumpkin patch 2012 - Heiser Farms

Posted on | Monday, October 29, 2012 | 4 Comments

The hubby and I went to Heiser Farms in Dayton yesterday, to continue our tradition of picking pumpkins together - I think this was the 11th time! Where does the time go? We really like going to Heiser Farms because of the nice atmosphere, variety of activities, great pumpkin selection and delicious food. The first time we picked pumpkins together was back in 2002 at the Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island and I love going there too, but sometimes it's a bit overwhelming and crowded. This year, we waited until the last minute - mostly due to lots of business trips earlier in the month - and for the first time ever, we picked pumpkins in the rain. A new experience! I didn't want to get my camera soaked so these are all phone photos. Check out our pumpkin adventure below:

Still lots of pumpkins to choose from.

Very muddy out in the fields, but we prepared with rain boots... though I did see someone who wore white pants - or at least, they were before coming out to the fields.

My new bubble umbrella worked perfectly!

Winners!

Bitty pumpkins...

Finished out our trip with deep fried oreos and Apple Pie Fries. Yeah - you heard it right! We used to get deep fried twinkies... and then the oreos. But this time, we found the Apple Pie Fries! They are deep fried apple slices drizzled in caramel sauce, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar and covered in whipped cream. Delish! My new deep fried favorite. Happy Halloween, everyone!

Spoken For recap

Posted on | Sunday, September 23, 2012 | 14 Comments

Thank you to everyone that came by yesterday for the Spoken For event! We had such a wonderful time! I loved talking with and getting to know everyone and I think we've made lots of new friendships that I'm excited about. All the vendors were so awesome and unique. The event has been my favorite to participate in to date! It was like hanging out with old friends, relaxed and fun! Everyone that said "hello" to us - thank you!!! I loved talking to all the new brides, their moms, some dads, bridal parties, wedding enthusiasts and more!

We met sooo many people that I can't name them all, but a big thank you to Chelsea Howard (sooo looking forward to our cup of coffee together!), The Weaver House (Hannah and Kelty - freakin' goddesses in many respects), Commonwealth Rentals (for helping make my booth pretty!), and A & B Creative (my awesome neighbors at the event and planner/designer extraordinaires!). If you're in need of super amazing vintage rentals, be sure to check out Commonwealth Rentals in Portland, OR - The vintage sewing table, ladders and bench were all from there - really made our booth sparkle. :) Here are a few snaps of our booth!

Summer Love

Posted on | Thursday, August 30, 2012 | 12 Comments

I love summer - LOVE! Oregon weather during the summer months has been pretty disappointing for the last few years until this summer. I decided before summer even began that we were going to utilize the nice weather as much as we could. I wanted to be outdoors, spend more time with family and really make enjoying life a priority. As crazy busy as it was for the last few months, it was so great to get away many weekends and just have fun. So I apologize for the lack of posts, but I've been out enjoying what little sunshine we get around here and the rest of the time, I've been working. ;) Here are some of this summer's highlights!

In the beginning, we went to Disneyland...

This walk was on our 10 year anniversary - 10 years since we officially became a couple. :)

Matt surprised me with a weekend getaway to the Zoo and beach... I'm wearing my new Yed Omi jewelry that I purchased from the designer at the Salem Art Fair this July.

We stayed in Astoria at the Cannery Pier Hotel and ate Bosnian food in the town, which was delicious. We also visited the Goonies house. Isn't that so cool?
