Tackling the ribbon pile :: Organized!
Posted on | Wednesday, June 18, 2008 | 6 Comments
I finally organized my ribbons.
A few months ago, before we moved, Matt and I purchased "Alex" from Ikea.
I loved it and it was a splurge, but I really needed it. Fast forward to our new place, and Matt finally built it over this past weekend and I filled it up already with all sorts of supplies. I was quite pleased with my ribbon drawer. The sad part though is that is just a fraction of all of it! The rest is on spools in my cabinets. I am not as proud of the drawer of feathers, but that's a whole other story.

love looking at the scrumptious colors and textures in your ribbon drawer! i recently saw a great idea in a magazine for storing ribbon: use those wooden pants hangers for men, which have the locking bar. you slide on the spools of ribbon, and then click the rod back in. voila! it was super cute and would probably be a compact way for you to store your spools. ;-)

hi myra! one of your etsy brides here!! while making one of my many stops @ michaels, i saw this:
http://www.michaels.com/art/online/displayProductPage?productNum=pc0958
it'll probably hold a scant few of the many ribbons you already have, but i <3 the way it looks; so neat & tidy & professional! something i never thought i needed till i saw it. thought you might like it:)

Thank you Debbie for the ribbon organizing tip! I'm going to have to check it out. I'm just a wreck when it comes to ribbons. I save everything and don't organize them all enough.
