I just received some stunning photos from Christie, who wore a Twigs & Honey birdcage veil and handmade silk flower for her wedding recently. I am in awe of her wedding dress. It is gorgeous!
What a beautiful bride, yes??? Thank you, Christie and congrats to the two of you!!!

Several new pieces in the Etsy shop :: light and soft
I have listed some pieces in my etsy shop that I'm really excited about. Each one is very different and unique. They were designed for a photo shoot and would be perfect for spring... soft, floaty, sheer... light colors. So pretty!:
Frothy Pink Confection
Feather Flurry
Vintage Delight
Angled mini blusher with pouf
Cutest dog (next to Indy, of course)! :: Momo

Regina has one of the cutest dogs... but I can't say that too loud because Indy might hear me and become jealous (Indy even gets jealous when I talk on the phone with Matt and will start "talking" loudly and playing with her loudest squeeky toy). I recently spotted this photo and just died a little (it got an honorable mention on Martha's site):
And another cute photo. Photo credits: Regina Mako
I think Indy and Momo could be the best of friends!
More Real Brides
I have so many more stunning bride and wedding photos to post, but I leave you with a few more gorgeous twigs & honey weddings:
The oh-so-pretty Tiffany wearing a Twigs & Honey custom hair piece and birdcage veil. The wedding also featured Twigs & Honey boutonnieres and matching corsages.

Pictures of Daisy's wedding:
Isn't she the cutest in her Twigs & Honey hat (this hat!).
What an adorable photo of the happy couple. The hat looks gorgeous on you, Daisy!!

I promise to post more real brides.. I've been so bad about that lately! There are so many lovely weddings I need to share!!
Real Bride :: Lindsey of Lost and Fawned
Many moons ago, I worked with one of the sweetest of sweet ladies, Lindsey, who now has a lovely Etsy shop, Lost and Fawned. If you're on the lookout for vintage inspired jewelry that could easily become heirloom pieces to pass down, visit her shop! I made a set of silk flowers for Lindsey for her Cannon beach wedding this past summer and the pictures speak for themselves... gorgeous!

Congratulations!!!
One of the most adorable brides ever...

I just saw the cutest wedding over at The Wedding Chicks. I worked with Meg on her bridal belt after last season's Novel Romance fashion show. She is also wearing an Elizabeth Dye shrug.

Thank you, Meg, for working with me!!

The Kind Diet :: Book signing at Powell's with Alicia Silverstone
Posted on | Wednesday, October 21, 2009 | No Comments
This morning, I watched a segment on AM Northwest with the lovely Alicia Silverstone and was pleasantly surprised to hear she would be at a book signing at Powell's Bookstore for her new book, The Kind Diet. Since Matt and I normally head up to our self defense class in Portland on Wednesday evenings, I thought, why not head over.
I have been quietly following Alicia's story since her endearing role in Clueless to her lifestyle choices from supporting animal rights to helping the environment. Tonight, she was poised and well-spoken with the same charm and wit as the effervescent "Cher" in Clueless... but "clueless", she was not... It was refreshing to hear someone from Hollywood speak about the benefits of eating better not just for those who love animals... but for your own health, well-being and the environment. She even touched on some bioregionalism topics (remember from my previous guest blogging?), which is a topic I wish I'd hear more about in discussions about diet and improving the environment. I'm excited to read her book am already recommending it from the excerpts I read on the drive home. Here are a few photos:
Thank you, Alicia!
Just for bloggers :: Autumn scarf
Posted on | Tuesday, October 20, 2009 | 1 Comment
As a thank you to twigs & honey blog readers and supporters, I'm offering up a limited edition scarf through this blog only. It was also a small break from the norm. I had been hoarding this gorgeous cotton batik print fabric for some months now, and I decided to finally put it to good use. I made one for myself, of course (a rare treat!) and can't wait to wear it on those crisp autumn days.
So many ways to wear it...
Wear it short...
Wear it long...
Keep your shoulders warm...
Or wear it to keep your head warm...
Also fit to be tied.
This piece is a lovely range of blues, browns, golds, greens, and more. Very limited quantities.
This item will ship using USPS Priority shipping. Pay with PayPal by clicking below. Enjoy! (email with any questions: info@twigsandhoney.com).
