Redirected...

Has anyone else encountered "redirect" problems with google and/or IE? It is driving me up the wall today. Do bad things really come in 3s? I first ran out of printer ink and then my printer went AWOL... finally fixed that. Then the weird redirect problem in Google. I tried to fix with malware, anti-virus software... and then System Recover. BUT then I realized my System Restore points vanished... so I'm working on that issue.

But the most annoying is the redirect.
I go to google.com
Do a simple search, ex: "twigs & honey"
It pulls up the results
When I click on the result it takes me to a redirect page that says:
"Redirect Notice
The previous page is sending you to (website address)
If you do not want to visit that page, you can return to the previous page"
I don't get taken to a spam site... actually, the links in the "Redirect Notice" page don't work at all. About 90% of the search results go to the redirect page.

I read somewhere that Google "monitors" some of its users at random and that might be causing this. Anyone else run across this problem? Any solutions out there? I think it might resolve itself (i.e. when Google gets bored of stalking me, because you know my searches for "feathers", "pretty things", "fabrics" and "T&H" are really quite riveting)... I'm crossing my fingers. I've been trying to fix these problems for the last 5 hours! I quit for now. :P

Hi Myra! Hope your Weds. is going better then your Tues. Sometimes computers can be sooo frustrating. Did your series of problems get fixed?

Sooo this whole eye pain thing...unfortunately I haven't reached any concrete answers with my pain either. I however thought it was interesting that one avenue for you was a possible b12 deficiency because I've also considered the idea of anemia as having something to do with the eye pain.

I thought the pain/migraine might have something to do with my sinuses, so I went to see an ear, nose, throat physician, but that was a brick wall. I was told that yes, I was having migraines if they were making me vomit, but sinus problems don't cause migraines. I was given a script for a nasal spray and told to get a cat scan of my head when I was having the eye pain. I didn't notice any difference w/ the nasal spray. I've also discussed the problem with my homeopathic dr., but also wasn't given any real answers....he told me to breath in steam. It felt nice, but my pain is waaay beyond steam.

For now, I know what the signs are that a migraine is coming for me, so I take excedrin migraine. Usually it works and it's the only thing I've found to help. So, I carry a container of it with me at all times. Sorry I just wrote you a novel!

    xo,
    Megan

Same thing, I did a search via google, and wasn't re-directed.

It looks like the site uses a Dreamweaver template (template tags and Dreamweaver's notorious table design). If you use Contribute to update the site, there is a slight chance that your computer downloaded a bug (javascript) from another site, and has inserted itself into your site. Looking at your code, however, (assuming there's no PHP in it) I don't think this is the case. There is also no redirect script in your index.html file.

So who knows. It's happened to past clients before, unfortunately. It could have just been a glitch. I've also randomly gotten the big red "malware" warning sign when trying to access Gmail.

But in Safari 4, you're fine.

Okay, that was really geeky. I am obviously avoiding writing my midterm paper.
