I listed a few new pieces total in my Etsy shop and online store. I'm so excited about these ones. I think they are lovely, lovely.

Matt and I will be leaving for Napa Valley on September 23rd next week and we'll be back on Saturday and then leaving for Istanbul on September 28th until October 5th. I'll be feverishly fulfilling orders and boutique orders until we leave. I'll ship all made to order pieces purchased through this Friday (September 18th) by September 23rd. Anything purchased after September 18th, I'll ship when I get back first week in October. Email with questions!

And just for some random "fun", here's what the family did last weekend. I just got some photos back that my sister sent me today. Be warned, we're a wacky bunch. My dad was an army ranger and trainer back during Vietnam and since he had two girls, we learned how to do "guy stuff". And boys will be boys:

Oh! Did I tell you that Matt got me a cotton shirt with "Mrs. Callan" type for our 2 year anniversary? The traditional gift is cotton.

I'm aiming the 223 here. Matt always makes fun of me because I like watching movies where girls kick butt. Have I mentioned, we also started taking Krav Maga this summer? Who would have guessed, yes?

We were shooting 22 and 223 rifles at 50 yards. I fired a shotgun for the first time and got the clay pigeon on the first pull. After the recoil knocked off my ear muffs, I decided to stick with the rifles.

Work can sometimes be really stressful. My dad has been target shooting for a long time and he always says it's a good way to release built up stress. You should try it sometime! It is quite the opposite of my day job. ;)

Twigs & Honey online store

I'll be adding new designs to the Twigs & Honey online store soon, but just wanted to say that I had a few things changed with the formatting and am loving the stunning Elizabeth Messina photos on the main page. Also, if you go to the product descriptions, there is a cool new zoom in feature when you hover your mouse over the main image. I was able to list one new veil design too. Check back for updates.

2 year Anniversary :: Willamette Queen

For our 2 year anniversary, I planned a little stern wheeler dinner for Matt and I this past weekend. We always see it going up and down the Willamette near our home, so I finally decided that we were going to be on it! We rode the Willamette Queen for Murder Mystery night. Dinner included a delicious cheese ball with crackers and strawberries, salad, roast beef, chicken and artichoke in a white sauce, baked potatoes, steamed veggies, and cheesecake for dessert. Everything was yummy and the ride itself was romantic and calm. Definitely something we'll repeat in the future.

I cannot tell you how quickly the past 2 years have gone by!

To my husband: I love you with all my heart and cannot tell you in words how happy I am to have you in my life. I look forward to the adventures we will have and cherish the memories of the adventures we've had. Together with you, we've built a relationship, a life, a family and a home. I hope that in the years to come, I can bring the same amount of joy into your life as you have in mine. I love the simple things:

Oregon State Fair 2009

Fun!
Matt, my sis, her husband, and I all went to the Oregon State Fair Saturday evening and it was a blast. I loved the animals - way too cute. My sister and I rode that crazy "Big Sling" ride you see at the amusement parks and fairs similar to this:

I wish I had taken pictures but I didn't want to bring my camera because it was threatening rain all evening/night.
Oh... and don't forget the Mt. Angel Oktoberfest on September 17th-20th. Matt and I plan to eat a ton like last year. Hope to see you there!

Sorry for the light posting again this week. Last minute, I got a few big projects/shoots to work on with nearly impossible turnaround times... but I love a challenge. Although, my hands are really tired and my fingers are multi-colored from dyes and paints, I am really, really excited about some new pieces I've finished and some new ones I'll be scrambling to finish today.
