Pretty sure it's a non-malicious virus. After spending a good amount of time with the geek squad over the phone, it's pretty much agreed that the most likely cause for my "redirection" on google searches is a virus. I need to get me some "recovery" discs from Microsoft, back everything up, and completely wipe everything off the computer and "start over". Like a "new" laptop... but not really. :T
This is of course, no problem, if you are good about backing up your data... which I'm not. UGH! AND, of course, I didn't make of copy of the "RECOVERY" drive on my HP laptop before it was corrupted... hence having to get the discs from Microsoft. What ever happened to the good ole days when they included the discs for the operating system and drivers with the laptop when you bought it?
Quick question!
Has anyone gone from Vista to Windows 7 and noticed a big difference? At this point, I could invest $30-35 for Vista or just put that money toward Windows 7, which is 5 times more, but maybe worth it??
thank you, Ally and Domanique Alicia for your help in the first post!

I think you will love the Windows 7.... it just has so many convenient little features! Snipping tool, snap shots, etc.. And, according to my techie bf, they worked out a lot of the kinks from Vista.

I'm going to say "Mac", but I'm biased. *everything* is prettier on a mac. Especially typography.
That being said, several of my friends are all about Windows 7. They say that the upgrade was totally worth the cost.
There's also a whole bunch of hooplah about it's stability. Who knows.
Good luck!

I agree with the commenter who supported an upgrade to a Mac. However, I know that it is not possible for everyone. (As an art teacher, I use one at school, but do not have one at home.) Either way, when purchasing a bigger item, I always try to ask myself - what do you use it for, or what do you want to be able to do with it?
In general, I've heard that Windows 7 is more stable and has gotten better feedback than Vista.
Good luck!

I just went from Vista to Windows 7, and I LOVE it. Such a great update! I like how a PC functions, but I've always loved how a Mac looks...and Windows 7 seemed to magically combine both worlds. I say invest in Windows 7!

ohhh Sweet girl....
Everything here is fabulous!
Wow!!!
I do not want to even get into it but I am having that same problem(everything says "redirected") & Much more!! :(
(stalker/hacker & even phone) long story. I Like my mouse, my big screen & can't get use to the mac(girls use it) but I know I need to. I know I can plug the mouse into the mac but im so slow to getting there. actually ALL our computers are hacked into except the MAC (well... there not suppose to be able to but???- always just a matter of time for experts jerks)
anyways... I LOST everything :( Just had computers taken in to be cleaned up & viruses removed etc... well I was not quick enough for backup. dummy me.
I have 5 girls. 19 - 3 yr old so my mind is spinning. no fun to deal w/ this too.
I LOVE Your style, ideas, creative friends, photo's etc...
& I would rather not eat meat.never really cared for it.& if i think about it...I can't eat.
but im not vegan but would like to be : )
have some big time Vegan/animal activists in Ca. & Australia.(learned so much from them)
I did not eat meat this last pregnancy. I got protein other ways.
I never was a milk drinker but me too like cheese.
I am right there with you. I would like to know some Yummy alternatives. (maybe I'll make a link for recipes???)
I would LOVE to show my daughters a better way to eat & be healthy NOW.
& Your little "tease" New Orleans Shoot.... I have 3 special ties to new Orleans. (customers) LOVE it.
So comming scross your blog tonight really hit home.
Much Needed inspiration and your just too cute!
I hope you won't mind me posting your designs & links.
Too pretty to not share.
I wish you all the best!
Joelle XOXO
ps. I had to get this all out now, I haven't been able to leave many comments or go to my others sites due to my problems & computer shuts down. Hope this goes through : )

Hi Myra!
You made my wonderful vintage inspired birdcage veil almost two years ago for my wedding and I've periodically checked in on your fabulous work.
I just happen to have "recovered" from the same problem as you. HP laptop, Vista nightmare. This might be a little late on the help, but I highly recommending throwing down the money to Windows 7 and forgetting you ever had to deal with Vista. Apparently Vista has worked out its "kinks" but my husband say forget it, and wiped my HP clean, and we bought Windows 7. SO MUCH BETTER. No problems. Practically a whole new computer, it feels like. And I'm with you, can't shake the PC habit, though my husband is a MAC freak. For your line of work, it may make sense, I do have to admit....
Good luck!
